Hurricane IKE

Hurricane IKE was a tremendous tropical cyclones that caused lot of destruction in parts of the Greater Antilles and south of United States in September 2008. It was a hurricane of category four in the Saffir-Simpson Scale, have into account that this scales goes from one to five(major), the speed of the winds were around two hundred thirty kilometers per hour. It caused lot of damage in the infrastructure and agriculture in Cuba and Texas, apart form other locations. Hurrica Ike remains the costliest tropical cyclone on record. It resulted in thirty-seven billion dollars in damage and aproximately 197 casualties.

Water Stress

There are several places in the World that dont have the opportunity to have fresh water, but at the same time there are several place that do have the access fresh water. For example in the top 5 nations that have this opportunity are the USA, Canada, Uruguay, Japan and Cyprus, as regards the countries that doesnt have the opportunity the last 5 are Sierra Leone (%13), Ethiopia (%12), Madagascar (%11), Niger (%9) and Chad (%9). The first 5 countries are called water rich countries and the last ones are called water   poor countries. As a first important aspect about the accessibility of water is that it´s a right and if people dont have it, people may get sick or even die. For example, people drink unfresh water nowadays that make them get sick with severe illnesses such as Cholera. This is a very critical issue that not only affects today but also in the future.
